Draper's Top 10 Therapeutic Ultrasound Errors-1-5

1. Treatment area too large. Optimal area is not more than 2 times ERA (Effective Radiating Area). 2. Treatment time too brief. Optimal time is 5 minutes treatment time for 2 times ERA. 3. Using preset intensities rather than developing treatment plan based on individual therapeutic needs. 4. Incorrect frequency. The general rule is 1 MHz for deep target tissue, 3 MHz for superficial target tissue. 5. Failure to incorporate a correct stretching program into treatment plan.
